It's official...

...I really am pregnant! I put on my first sweatshirt of the year and realized that I am now so obviously pregnant that you can see my baby bump THROUGH my (what used to be) big, baggy sweatshirt!

Please excuse my no-makeup, bedhead, nasty appearance. Yes, this IS what I look like when I roll out of bed. Jealous?

So this is why God gave us nine months.

While the hubby and I were putting the crib together tonight, it dawned on me that there's a really good reason for a nine-month gestational period.

How wild would it be if we created babies in a month? Talk about stress.

So we've started on the nursery...finally. I've been feeling a little behind the rest of my counterparts, so when my parents got us our crib yesterday, I just HAD to get it put together and start getting the room in order.

Check out the slideshow. I'll update it as we get closer to D-Day (and as the nursery comes together).

24 weeks and still going strong!

We have officially hit the "viability" period. As of 24 weeks, baby has an actual chance of surviving if born now (though we are most definitely still rooting for him to cook for another 16 weeks). Here's the latest picture update.

Watch me go:

I will be skinny again. I will be skinny again. I will be skinny again. :)

Proof

This is proof that I was skinny recently...six little ole months ago:

(aww...sweet, huh?)
Proof that I no longer am:

So the countdown is on: 112 days until I have to start getting in shape again (or until our precious little baby boy is born, however you want to look at it). In all reality, I LOVE being pregnant. I'm trying to embrace all of it, though the heartburn, rib pain, exhaustion and fat butt are a little harder to swallow than, say, the blossoming belly, sweet baby kicks and movements and the realization that my husband and I have CREATED A HUMAN BEING TOGETHER. But alas, I'm really excited to be a mommy!
