Upstairs bathroom redo.

My mom's in town and helping me get the last of my nesting done.  And then there's just the stuff she's flat-out doing herself, like cleaning my oven that I haven't cleaned since we moved in three years ago (ew, right?) because the idea of cleaning an oven was daunting to me.  I didn't even know they made ovens that weren't self-cleaning anymore until we moved into this house.

Anyway.

This morning we decided to tackle the upstairs bathroom.  You might remember how horrendous it had been looking.  Aside from our master bedroom before its redo, it was the most neglected room in our house.  Behold:

This was my original inspiration, but I strayed from it because I could never find a shower curtain that was a light enough blue.  Eventually I just went with aqua, which matches the grey fine in my opinion and is nice and cheery and happy for a kid's bathroom.

I searched high and low for a mirror like the one above and even ended up buying one, but it didn't fit over the hole left behind from the medicine cabinet so it got repurposed in our master bedroom instead.

So we still have the medicine cabinet but the second I can find a new one, it's getting switched out.

Glad to have that project done!  We've had the door to this bathroom shut and even locked for the past few months.  Now the kids have their own bathroom!
