Projects to pass the time: 40 weeks

Boy, 40 weeks is tough.  Really tough when it's your third pregnancy and you've never reached this point before.  I'm (barely) surviving, but only by distraction.

Our mirrored closet doors broke two weeks ago which totally ruined the theme I'd had going on with all the pregnancy pictures thus far.  Now we have these white curtains instead, because new mirrored closet doors are $500(!!!).  Yeah.  Someday.

I'm huge and too tired to do any sort of making uppage for pictures, so forgive my appearance.  Yesterday was a really emotional day so today I'm just wiped.  Done.  Throwing in the towel.  Surrendering.

To pass the time, I've been sewing.  To pass more time, allow me to document the sewing projects I've made for baby that no doubt nobody but me cares about.  ;)

That's a big play blanket, lots of burp cloths and a new nursing cover.

I'm also totally in love with our new tags.  Swoon.

I adore chevron, as I've obviously made clear, and this color was so fun I couldn't pass it up!  I've just been sitting on this fabric for a few months trying to find a way to use it, and last week I turned it into a big, fluffy blanket for baby to play on.  It's summer so it'd be too hot to use as a blanket for swaddling, but since we have wood floors I though it would make the perfect blanket to lay baby on and for play time.

Burp cloths galore (and there are like 10 more not pictured here...whoops).

And I took my favorite fabric ever that I finally got my hands on again after being sold out for like 8 thousand months and turned it into a giant nursing cover.  I've never really liked my old one because it was so small.  I went huge this time and think I'm going to love it!  It wraps way around my sides.  :)

And now I'm off to make this baby come out now.

  2. Patience in late pregnancy is a rare characteristic I think! At least it's a fact that every day is bringing you closer to a certain outcome!
